Description
This is designed for use with two-piece curtain rods, where one side fits into the other and has a plastic bit to prevent the parts from sliding.
This is a replacement for the original version and is helpful when automating curtain opening & closing. I was seeing the curtains catch on the splice, which meant that they would not fully open and close.
PLA or PETG should work well. You will want to match the color of your curtain rods.
Slice as oriented. Remove the heated bed & wait for it to cool down completely before removing the part, since removing it early may lead to warping & entirely ruin the print.
Remove the original curtain rod splice and discard it. Roll the printed part into a tube, and insert it between the small tube and large tube.
Is the printed shim too long or is the fit too tight? Use scissors to cut off some segments and try again.
