Description
How is this better than the stock one?
This belt carriage doesn't use belt clamps which damage and weaken the belts. When under tension the back side of the belt is pressed up against a metal corner which damages it further and leads to it ripping. Tested for 120kg of static tension with no noticable damage
This belt mount is designed for gates gt2 belts that are for the Netpune 4 Plus / Max Y axis.
There is a cart available for Silenced frost's double shear mod that is necessary for the Neptune 4 Plus
Recommended print settings:
at least 4 walls
~50% infill
Print as oriented
Recommended materials:
PETG
ABS/ASA (You should print with enclosure and heater to have enough layer strength)
NOT PLA
Any low creep material will do, but higher impact resistance and rigidity is recommended.
Make sure you tighten the screws that connect to the bed all the way or else the carriage can move around. Also don't tighten the clamps too much as the will start bending and crush the teeth of the belt. For better mounting you can use countersunk screws to screw it to the bed frame which will center the carriage and avoid backlash.
If you don't want to use additional hardware there also is a toolless version available:
