Description
Custom LED Mount for the AD5M (Non-Pro)
I designed this custom LED mount as an affordable alternative to the original accessory for the AD5M non-pro. It’s intended for makers who, like me, enjoy repurposing parts from previous projects.
I had a bunch of spare components lying around—except for 24V LEDs. This mount is designed to fit a 7mm LED strip snugly, with no need for adhesive. On the back, there are three slots to glue 5x2mm magnets, which are strong enough to keep the mount securely in place even during high-speed prints.
Printing Instructions
Print the part as oriented in the provided 3MF file, with supports enabled. I used a 0.2mm layer height and the standard profile for the AD5M. I printed mine in PETG, but PLA should also work fine since the LEDs don’t generate much heat.
Installation Tips
For power, I used a step-down (buck) converter mounted on this helpful support by Doug @design8studio:

If you need a buck converter, you can get one using Doug’s Amazon link:

I installed a JST 2.54 connector on one side of the mount and routed the cable through a hole on the side of the printer for a clean setup.
