Fridge Protector (Dometic Camping Fridges)

Not so much a repair, as avoiding very costly damage.

Dometic Campervan / Caravan / Motorhome fridges are deliberately built light and flimsy, this goes for the evaporators in them as well. Worse the protection for these light evaporator vanes is useless, especially if you have a fully loaded fridge with the contents moving around in transit.

This is a light ‘small footprint’ evaporator protector that simply clips on to the fridge shelf. It is non-permanent,  held in place by x4 small packers, which means it will only come off when you want it to.

STL for the protector and packer included. BGcode prints the protector with a little enforced support for the larger side holes. BG code prints 4 x 10mm packers (for each end of the supports), if you want to lock the middle rack bars I have produced a 5mm packer, but I haven't used them. The protector prints back face down - with the supports rising up from the bed. The packers print end on.

I printed in PETG since waterproof and suitable for food contact (no plasticer migration - don't use PLA - not food grade)
