Description
I've created a lot of weapons to attach to my models and had tried creating a lego compatible version in the past but it didn't work out. Since then I've done what a lot of print hobbyist do - I bought calipers. The hand size is a very particular 3.2mm. In some cases I was able to scale the handle on the weapons to match that size but in most cases it was easier to delete the normal handle and replace with a correctly sized cylinder.
In this collection we have:
I put in a fair amount of time to make sure that the topology on these was good (e.g. manifold, none or extremely few thin/intersecting/sharp faces) so if you want to use them to remix into other models you can simply scale and then boolean. If you do so be mindful of going too thin - I think 1.5-2mm is the minimum size you should aim for on FDM prints on a 0.4mm nozzle, adding more points of contact is also a good thing and watch for small gaps where supports would be a pain to remove.
For printing these I recommend printing them straight up with tree supports. You can print them on their side but post processing / cleanup will be a bit of a pain.
In my backlog and in my blender assets I have a TON of other weapons/accessories that I've created so lemme know if there is anything in particular that you're looking for and I can maybe add it!
I'm on a quest to make 1000 free DND/TTRPG miniatures. See my other models and progress on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/Adamnant
