Description
I previously designed and shared some bird feeders (here and here). I'm quite happy with them. But they tend to be used by large birds and small species struggle to get their share.
I hope this version will solve this issue. I designed it so the food (mainly seeds) cannot be accessible if the bird cannot fit its head inside the hole. And the distance between the stand and the hole is voluntarily short to prevent larger birds to easily get their way.
Only three parts :
the cap, that fits at the top of the main body. A small tolerance was made so you can push it down and it will stay firmly in place but you can still remove it to refill. *[optional]: the 'ring' that fits the front hole if you chose to print the bare version of the main body. You can choose not to use this part at all, but if you want to add it, you will have to glue it (I used hot glue). Print time is rather long as parts are large. I use PETG because it's weatherproof and quite foodsafe.
If you wonder: the holes at the bottom are here to evacuate moisture should it accumulate inside the feeder.
