Description
This is a modification of another Tardis model that allows you to make it light up! I Changed the window panes and grids to be easier to assemble, install and be more transparent, changed the upper ring to be open behind police call box sign, changed police call box sign to have transparent lettering so light shines through, modeled a new part that goes on the inside of the box that holds a cob led strip (It's designed to hold a 4.9ft/1.5m cob led strip, I got mine on amazon)
Printing and Assembly instructions:
Windows: The grids and panes print separately, grids are white and windows transparent. Grids print best with .2 nozzle but it will probably print fine with .4. After printing both you glue the grids to the center of the panes with a couple dots of super glue anywhere on the corners of grids, then you simply glue the outer corner of the panes to the inside of the box (They are slightly oversized to make this very easy).
Police Call Box Sign: this is printed with .2 nozzle because the letters are very small and it's printed with two filaments (transparent and black), I have two file versions for this, one for AMS and one for people who don't have AMS/ multi filament printers where it automatically pauses the print at a certain layer and you change from transparent to black filament manually then resume print
Cob led stand: For this you just wrap your cob led strip around it all the way to the top then hot glue the strip to the inside of the upper ring (where the police call box sign openings are).
NOTE: I didn't model an opening in the tardis side panel for your power cord, so you'll have to drill a hole to run your wire out of the box, I drilled a notch at the bottom of the back side panel and slipped my cord up then hot glued (pictured)
FILAMENT COLORS: I used ELEGOO Matte Navy Blue PLA for the main box. For the black, white and transparent parts you can use whatever.
