Description
I upgraded my MK3s with a E3D Revo heater and nozzle. I just love it. Just swap nozzles in no time.
New nozzles I ordered from Aliexpress. Brass at first because nothing else was available.
Later came a nozzle with some kind of coating. But way too expensive to my taste.
Then there was the version with the hardened tip. But I had some spare brass nozzles so no need to order.
Until recently. I stumbled upon a new nozzle for the E3D revo. This one has replaceable hardened steel tips. Excellent, just what I want and need.
I ordered 3 with several replacement nozzles sizes 0.4 0.6 0.8
But each time I'm struggling with the sizes being mixed up.
So I designed this nozzle holder, including space for the replaceable tips. The holder can be placed on the right side of the printer on top of the power supply.
The holder stays in place with 6 disc magnets which attach to the side of the power supply. A small hook prevents the holder from sliding off. 4 bar magnets are inserted to keep the tiny hardened steel nozzle tips in their little holes.
Extra needed:
6 magnets 10mm diameter and 4.5 to 5.0mm thick
4 magnets 20mm x 6mm x 1.5mm
Printing:
Print with size markings facing the build plate.
No supports needed
Of course, pause the print 2 times to insert the magnets.
Printbed temperature not above 80°C to prevent demagnatizing the magnets!
