Door Hinge Bush BOSCH SIEMENS MIELE

These are specially designed for 3d printing reinforced replacements for the old and new versions of the BOSCH/SIEMENS/MIELE refrigerator door hinge bushing (00169301, 5384490).

The bushings have built-in supports which have to be broken off and removed after printing:

The reinforced versions are not universal, you need to check with your fridge that you have the hinge pin plane aligned across or along the bushing.

The models of the original bushings that I have included in the ARCHIVE folder are not optimised for 3d printing.

Printing:

I printed with PRUSAMENT ORANGE PETG (it is the most abrasion resistant of the filaments I have) although I recommend PA - as in the original bush.

The lower hinge bushing of the larger door has failed for the third time on my KIV38V00 fridge.

This is the second original bushing of the new type that has broken when opening/closing the fridge door. The original old type bushing lasted longer than the two new type bushings.

The cost of one original BOSCH bushing 00169301 (only newer ones are currently sold) is over $13 (for one gram of plastic...).

I decided to model the original bushings of the new and old type.

The models of the original bushings that I have included in the ARCHIVE folder are not optimised for 3d printing.

I have designed reinforced versions taking into account the properties of 3d printing which are not universal but should last longer than the universal versions.

I have not tested the DoorHingeBushBOSCH_SIEMENS_MIELE_reinforced2.stl version (it does not fit my fridge). Let me know if anything needs to be changed.
