Description

Parametric Out Front Mount that I designed for a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.
Improvements on my old design for the Pixel 4a:

  • Increased strength by splitting the phone mount into 2 parts for ideal print orientation, glued with CA afterwards
  • Include the bottom plate in the phone mount
  • Phone is now supported in the center of gravity rather than the bottom which should wobble less and help with vibrations when driving on gravel

FreeCAD 1.0 design file attached. Feel free to remix for other phones that are of similar shape with a flat top and a radius on the bottom. The tolerance variable is used for the surroundings of the phone, the generated model files use 0.1mm so need a well adjusted printer to work.

Printed in PETG on Bambulab A1 with 0.2 strength profile and 5 bottom layers.

Use 2 M4x30 flathead screws with M4 nuts to clamp it on the handlebar.

Use 2 M5x70 flathead screws with M5 nuts to secure the phone holder in place.
