Description
The bottom door bushing (part # 4984JJ3003A) on my refrigerator (LG LDC24370SW ASWCNA2) wore out and one of the hinge screw heads on the door was starting to scrape on the hinge pin plate below.
Replacement is $12.95 USD + tax & shipping (A little over $21 all together.) at https://lgparts.com/products/4984jj3003a when they are in stock. (Which isn't all the time. Like when I needed one.)
See complete list of compatible refrigerator models at the above link.
Recommend printing in PETG with two walls, 100% concentric infill, and random Z seam. No supports needed.
Tap it into the socket on the door and add a little silicone grease to the flange and inside of the bushing.
Update: PLA2 only held up for a little more than two months before the flange began to split on the Z seam. (The seams were aligned and may have been a weak point. Also, the refrigerator is pretty high traffic in my six person household and has a fully loaded door.) I've reprinted it in PETG with random seams and will see how it does. The real problem seems to be a lack of support for the bottom of the bushing's flange – it rests on a relatively small built in steel flange on the hinge pin. If PETG doesn't hold up either, I'll add a separate washer to go around the steel flange or build one into the bushing itself. Either solution would provide a lot more support.
Update 2: PETG with random seams at 19 months and still going strong.
Exact fit model: For best fit, print in “exclusive” mode (Cura) or equivalent; otherwise, you may need to adjust horizontal expansion slightly.
