Description
One of my Overture cardboard spools was dinged up and was binding when rotating in my AMS. I've also read that cardboard spools can wear when rolling and deposit dust inside the mechanisms of the unit. I printed a couple different adapters, but most were a 20 min - 30 min print. This is… fine, but kind of annoying since you can only print one at a time. Furthermore, it's frustrating to tune in a tight fitment when it takes almost half an hour between cycles.
The fastest print I found was a single wall print, but it broke when trying to stretch it on. I realized that vase mode might make sense for this print. Vase mode would be a very fast print while still having great strength from being one continuous extrusion.

It is, of course, of the utmost importance that you print this in vase mode :) It is also important that your vase mode wall thickness matches the vase mode variable for the part. Well, I guess it's not important, but it probably will make it easier to dial in the fitment!
I leave a 0.4 mm nozzle on my machine, so I've been printing 0.8 mm walls since that feels pretty strong while being reasonable given my default nozzle. I was originally printing pretty slowly to promote good layer adhesion, but it seems to work fine at 50 mm/s first layer and 100 mm/s for the rest - which makes this about a 3.5 minute estimated print time on my X1C! Neat.
I am not sure how reproducible it will be to guarantee fitment for any specific file on a range of spools. Here's what has worked for me so far (I'll update this based on user comments, too!). I've uploaded every file I've exported, even if it hasn't worked - maybe it'll save you from needing to open the Onshape file and export another.
