TS80P Soldering Iron Slim Travel Case

I got a new soldering iron the TS80P and decided to make up a quick case thats sturdy and tough and keeps the iron tight in the case to protect against being tossed in a bag. The case accommodates (one) TS80P Soldering Iron, The one I am using is made by “miniware” but there a few other brands out there but they all should share a similar dimension from what I have read. The case has a snug fit lid with a small lip on the inside to keep it tight. Additionally there on inset holes for small 3mm x 5mm “pellet” magnets to keep the lid in place that can easily be pressed in without the need for glue.

  • Using magnets in this case is not required for the case lid to stay on tight, but rather just an added option in case you want too.

• Here are some additional things you can do to make the case even more awesome:
  • Small circles of felt or cork can be put into the holder holes to quiet any rattling due to small amounts of fit variance.
  • The outside of the case is chamfered in a way to allow for a USB C cord to be coiled up and banded to the case and or strapped to a larger power supply.
