Cable Clip / Clamp for Flat Power Cords, 2 & 3 Wire

I needed to route an extension cord from an outlet in the middle of the ceiling in my garage, across the ceiling and down the wall (it is the closest outlet to the sprinkler controller that needs a power source). I wanted a flat extension cord with a 90 degree plug so that it was a little less conspicuous. I purchased some clips that fit the extension cord, but they attached with a short nail, and they did not grab the sheet rock (wall material), so the power cord could easily fall out. I could've used a staple gun, but the flat cord was wide enough that I didn't want to risk shooting a staple into a wire conductor. So, after unsuccessful searches (online and in a home improvement store), I decided to make my own clips. They worked great! My new sprinkler controller is up and running.

I printed 31 clips in one print, with a 2mm brim, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2 layer height, with 100% infill. In hindsight, I probably would not have printed with a brim (to avoid a little post processing clean-up). Oh well. Each clip uses about 1.38g of filament. The total print time for the 31 pieces was 1:48:00, including warm-up and bed leveling.

I used 2 inch “Grabber” type screws. Even if they were only screwed into sheet rock, they still held sufficiently well for this purpose. I was able to hit a few ceiling joists in the run, so those clips are quite secure.
