Description
This is designed for the “Little Dude 6” using the “Dude Spike” by “Ham Radio Dude” but will work with any M10 Spike to be mounted in a trailer hitch WHILE PARKED. String up an EFHW and get on the air in minutes.
Another possible option is to use an antenna mount like This and mount a HamStick, Wolf River coil, or a SS telescopic whip. You would have to use radials or run a grounding strap from your vehicle to the grounding lug on the mount for this to work.
The LD6 Trailer Hitch Mount has 3 spike holes and 3 hitch pin holes. Different vehicles have different clearances, so I made it adjustable. The spike holes have one vertical, one tilted at 5 degrees, and one tilted at 10 degrees. Flip it over to get a different tilt direction. This makes it work weather your vehicle is on a incline or decline. (Parked on a hill)
I do NOT recommend driving with the mast on the hitch mount. It will withstand a lot, but YOU WILL break your mast and mount.
I HIGHLY recommend you use PETG or a stronger filament for this.
I used 0.2mm layers
0.45mm walls
40% infill
5 wall loops
11 top and 11 bottom layers
I will probably keep working on this and add a V3 in the future.
