Food-Safe Fridge Storage

Use sheets of wax or parchment paper approximately 15 inches by 6 inches.  Lay the paper over the base and firmly press into the container to cover the inner bottom and side surfaces.  Place the cap over top of the paper aligning the inserts with the holes in the base.  Press firmly until the cap snaps into the base securing the paper between the base and the cap.

Wax or parchment paper provides a food-safe surface that prevents PLA plastic from leaching into a food over longer periods of time and also prevents any contact with harmful bacteria that may form in the porous PLA due to direct food contact.
