Description
After enclosing my AD5M, I wanted to add a fan for various reasons which we all have. Anyway, I found a fan duct I liked because it fit snuggly in the fan I purchased specifically for the AD5M. The wiring was correct and everything fit together correctly. I could have drilled holes in the side walls but that would make it difficult to remove the side panel.
Links to both the fan duct and the fan I'm using are below.
Only thing missing was a base to raise the duct up to the proper height. Most of the ones I found were designed for the AD5M Pro fan enclosure. I found one on Thingieverse, a base for a different printer but was way to short. What it did have were the screw wholes already perfectly aligned. Big plus. To make a long story short, I used their .stl and modified it in Tinkercad to make what I have here.
There are two versions:
My original remix had no screw holes to attach to the bottom of the printer. I'm not a huge fan of drilling holes in the floor so I just use 3M double sided tape. Works for me!
The second, I added some feet so that if you choose to, you could drill holes in the printer's floor and secure it that way. NOTE: If you do, it will be at your own risk. I in no way said you should.
Filament type: ASA
Wall loops: 3
Infill: 15% Gyroid
Supports: Organic tree supports
I printed this standing up but you should be able to lay it on it's back and print without supports. I haven't tried it in that position yet.
