Description
A simple disc that inhabits 4 pen cartridges. By turning the inner disc one of the 4 colors can be selected with a retracting mechanism. Its still a bit wonky so I may improve in the future. Of course it is a fun gimmic more that a serious pen but it does work astoundingly well. Also writing with it goes better than I thought.
It uses 4 standard 3mm pen cartidges that need to be cut to fit. The slider has a hole that gets tighter. So it should stay in place without glue.
To assemble it the four sliders are put in the mutter and then the top is screwed on. No metal hardware needed except for the cartridges.
Note in my photo only one cartridge was loaded due to lack of pens in my home… my second one did not write any more.
I noticed that sometimes when the cartridge is not centered int the path it may retract while writing. I guess I will add some refinement in future and maybe more colors.
