Description
This is a simple mount to create a 120° V dipole antenna, using the popular M10 telescopic rods.
Here is a general parts list, your mileage may vary since I brought some components at a local hardware store:
For the base clamp i bent some M6 bar and used four wing nuts, the holes are a bit tight so instead you can try using M5 bar and some washers.
You will also need four M3 nuts and bolts to secure the PL connector (the length is not so important since the holes are open in the back), just insert the nuts in the side holes and you are all set.
I printed the mount in PETG hoping to give it some flex: even if the antenna is pretty light, when the rods are fully extended they put some torque on the clamps and I don't want it to be broken after one QSO on 20 meters.
The results are very good, when you tune the antenna correctly you will get an SWR close to 1 and an impedance very close to 50 Ohms at the desired band.
I'm working on updating the design including a mount to secure a guanella 1:1 balun inside a round electric box, stay tuned!
