Treasure chest

I designed and printed this treasure chest for a 60th birthday and personalized it with the recipient's initials and year of birth. The STL files uploaded here are without text, but individual text can be added in the slicer (with Orca or Prusa slicer even on the curved lid), see PDF for instructions.

Two pieces of filament are used as hinge pins, which require some pressure to push in (glue on one side if necessary). I widened the holes in the other part slightly so that the lid can be moved easily.

On the bottom there are recesses for 4 silicone adhesive pads (10mm).

I designed the closure for a mini suitcase lock with a 3mm shackle that I had available. You can get similar ones for little money on eBay or Amazon.

I designed the lid to be hollow, but this requires a lot of support material and slowes down printing. I therefore also added a filled version here, which can be printed faster and with less material.

Except for the hollow lid, no support is required.
I had some issues with warping despite using PLA, so I recommend setting Brim to "Mouse Ears."

Ich habe diese Schatztruhe für einen 60. Geburtstag entworfen und gedruckt und mit den Initialen und Geburtsjahr des Empfängers versehen. Die hier hochgeladenen STL-Dateien sind ohne Text, können aber im Slicer mit individuellem Text versehen werden (mit mit Orca oder Prusa-Slicer sogar auf dem gebogenen Deckel), siehe PDF-Anleitung.

Als Scharnierpins werden zwei Stücke Filament verwendet, die zum Hereindrücken etwas Druck erfordern (ggf. einseitig kleben). Ich habe die Bohrungen des anderen Teils etwas aufgebohrt, damit sich der Deckel leicht bewegen lässt.

Auf der Unterseite gibt es Aussparungen für 4 Silikon-Klebepads (10mm).

Den Verschluss habe ich für ein bei mir vorhandenes Mini-Kofferschloss mit 3mm Bügel ausgelegt, ähnliche bekommt man für wenig Geld bei ebay oder Amazon.

Ich habe den Deckel hohl konstruiert, was aber eine Menge Stützmaterial erfordert und den Druck verlangsamt. Ich habe daher hier auch eine gefüllte Version hinzugefügt, die sich schneller und mit etwas weniger Materialeinsatz drucken lässt.

Mit Ausnahme des hohlen Deckels ist kein Support erforderlich.
Ich hatte trotz PLA etwas Probleme mit Warping, ich empfehle daher Brim auf "Mouse Ears" zu setzen.
