Description

This is one of a series of dust collection ports that can be found at this link:

It's clear opening matches a standard four inch (100mm) pvc drainage system and the thread matches standard 4" (100) flexible ducting.

This fitting is designed to work in conjunction with the 100mm  PVC connector at this link:

Some would prefer the greater flexibility of PETG in this environment, however in my home workshop I've been using these for over a year without any issue.

You will need 12 no.  6mm x 8mm(diameter) magnets for each fitting.  The magnets are a firm push fit and should not require any glue - the holes in the base of each magnet recess will allow removal if necessary for any reason, and there is room to add an extra magnet in each recess if magnetic power reduces over time, or if a stronger connection is required.

I recommend fitting each alternative magnet in opposite poles - that will make disconnection very easy, by simply twisting the pieces until they meet their opposite number!
