🪴 Eddy Gardner 3.0 – Automatic Plant Watering System
Eddy Gardner 3.0 is the third iteration of my automatic plant watering system — this time based on ESPHome, Home Assistant, and a peristaltic pump. The device monitors soil moisture and dispenses water in timed, precise doses when needed. No coding is required — everything is configured via YAML and controlled through the Home Assistant interface.
3D-printable enclosures for:
NKP-DC-B10 peristaltic pump
soil moisture sensor
electronics module (Wemos D1 mini, buck converter, MOSFET)
STL files for printing
Full configuration and assembly details via blog + GitHub repo
📸 All components were modeled in Fusion 360 and assembled with M3 screws. For water distribution, I used flexible drip tubing — it fits perfectly on the pump connectors.
Wemos D1 mini (ESP8266)
NKP-DC-B10 peristaltic pump
Logic-level MOSFET module (3.3V compatible)
12V power supply + step-down converter to 5V
Analog soil moisture sensor (A0 input)

This is a perfect weekend project if you want your plants to be watered only when they actually need it — no relays, no guesswork, no overwatering.
