Description
These are some hinges for the top panel of the original SV08 enclosure (could probably be used with other printers). The panel should be removed when printing materials that need good cooling (like PLA). These hinges take advantage of the 2mm gap between the panels and allow you to just open the half with a handle.
When opened, the panel can be secured by magnets inserted in the cutouts in the supports.
The idea was inspired by https://www.printables.com/model/1097411-sovol-sv08-enclosure-top-glass-panel-hinge-version but I don't have a good relationship with double sided tape so I designed this version.
I printed my test pieces from PLA but that will probably warp at some point so this should be printed out of a more heat resistant material (like ABS or PETG).
I used the following print settings:
I also added a cover for the gap that is left between the panels after the hinges are installed.
For each hinge you need the following hardware:
At least 2 hinges are required. I printed 3 and the gap cover uploaded has the required length for that.
Let me know if this is useful.
