Schlumpf-Drive shift-button replacement and repair kit (Speed-Drive, HighSpeed-Drive, Mountain-Drive)

Repair or replace your lost or broken Schlumpf-Drive shifter buttons.

This button works on Schlumpf Speed-Drive, HighSpeed-Drive, and Mountain-Drive geared bottom-bracket cranksets made by Haberstock Mobility.

The set-screw may not be needed in the 3D-printed replacement button because the plastic shaft holds the shifter spindle tighter than the OEM metal shift-buttons.

Two models are offered: button-OEM is a direct dimensionally accurate OEM replacement; while button-OEM2 is slightly thicker at the head and slightly longer on the engagement shaft. It may stick out a bit more, but seems to work well, and should be stronger.

As noted in the Schlumpf manuals, shifter-buttons should be installed so there is still some (~3-5mm) inward “bounce” remaining after the inward shift. If using a setscrew, it does not need to be tightened to 1.1Nm per the manual and this may cause the button shaft to split off. If this happens, then the broken-off shaft can be held with the holdingTool-5shank. If the spindle needs to be held tightly while screwing or unscrewing a button from the other end, then hold it with a pliers-wrench using the holdingTool-3spindle tool to keep from damaging the spindle threads. The buttonTool can be used and held by a 13mm wrench to tighten or loosen a setscrew or to turn a tight shift-button.
