Description

I recently installed an external CCTV camera under a gutter (Eufy 2c Pro in this case).  Despite its semi-protected position, I designed a weather cover/hood to provide more protection from the elements.

I've created two versions.  A standard one, and a ‘recessed’ one whereby a recess for the camera mount is provided to allow a closer mounting of the hood to the camera.

The two models are approx 150mm wide x 150mm long.  You can scale them to your heart's content if you wanted something bigger or smaller.

Printing

  • Material:  ASA for the weather resistance.  PETG would probably also work just as well.
  • Layer height: Not important - I used 0.2mm as that's my usual go-to setting.
  • Perimeters: Four.  I wanted the hood portion to be all perimeter and no infill.
  • Infill: I used 30% Cubic.  There's only a small amount of infill in the base section of the hood.
  • Support: None required.
