Description
This is a magnetic smartphone holder designed remixing this thingiverse simple base plug for the Fiat 124 spider / Mazda Mx-5 cupholder slot https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2108802. It is intended to be printed in a heat-resistant plastic. The print is divided in two parts that fit together with some superglue. To complete the design you need this little magnetic device available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B0751WN885. I tried to design a 3d printed magnetic top using neodimium magnets, but it does not worth the effort: the Amazon top, attached with the superglue, fits perfectly and is rock solid; you can turn and tilt your smartphone in whatever position you want with no issues and this adds security, that is very important dealing with things inside a car.
Changelog:
V1.0: Initial release
V2.0: Improved design: now the holder has a new design to have the smartphone in a better position; its three parts fit together and have to be locked with superglue. The new design model shown in pictures is printed in XT-CF20 carbon fiber composite plastic to have a sleeker sporty look, but you can print in any heat-resistant plastic of your like (the v1 is printed in PETG).
