Description
I recently had come ethernet cables installed and after installation I needed a solution to cover up a hole made in a cabinet to feed in cables. The cables already had the connectors installed so I had to come up with a solution to be able to feed the cables in and then have a cap come down to hold them in place.
I designed a two part print. The outer part is wide enough to snake in the cables and when installing the cap you just need to align the cables into the holes on the cap and the base and then slide the two parts together.
You will need some tools:
Screws for securing the outer part to the wall/floor:
Parts for securing the inner part to the outer part:
3 X M3 x 0.5 mm Thread, 10 mm Long, Socket head screw
3 X M3 x 0.5 mm Thread, Thin square nut
This part was designed for 11 cables, and a hole size of 45 mm. I might recommend marking the locations of screw holes on the outer part and the corresponding hole on the inner part so it is easier to make sure you get the correct alignment. Also, the square nuts are a little loose when installed so if installing vertically you may need to stick them in place.
