Description
As far as I am aware, there are two Sortimo L-Boxxes for inset boxes. One is the i-BOXX 72 and the other is the L-BOXX 102.
I was looking for some small boxes, but none of the models I found were suitable. Therefore, I created this model.
The advantages are:
Area to stick a 12mm label (a common size for label printers).
A smaller box that can be dropped in. This one again has a label area too. There are two sizes available: 30mm (more or less dividing the box in half) and 42mm.
The wall thickness is 1.2mm. So with a 0.4mm nozzel, the wall is just 3 lines thick. The round corners are evenly thick, too. Sadly, not every model has this.
You need to print four small legs for each box. Depending on your printer's tolerances, you can either press or glue them in. Unfortunately, there is no other good solution for this without losing the positioning feature of the boxes or using support during printing.
I printed mine in ABS, but I think PLA and PETG should work as well.
Update 2026-01-30: I added a version for bigger 1x2 boxes. The size is called B3. There is currently only one orientation available.
Update 2026-03-20: added a lid for the A1 box. Unfortunately this doesn't fit with the drop-in boxes.
