Description
I wanted a compact way to power my Raspberry Pi on the Core One and identified that there's some dead space above the PSU connectors. So i extended the PSU cover to make some room and merge it with an existing LM2596 case to allow proper protection.
The output power is routed through the hole on the right side. i connected a micro-USB cable to power my Raspberry Pi 3.
The Buck Converter Lid s held with two 10mm M3 screws in place, the cables are secured with two zip ties.
The Buck Converter Model can be found on Amazon or Aliexpress, it's the very common model “LM2596 HW-411”. Make sure to adjust the output voltage to 5V prior to connecting the Raspberry Pi
In case you are wondering: The Raspberry Pi Case is this one by @Malolo,
I added a custom base with magnets embedded, you find it here.
