Yashica TLR/Bay 1 Folding Lenscap

I bought this camera a few weeks ago and it came with a metal lenscap but I found it was incredibly difficult to use as it required a lot of force to snap onto the photo lens, so I made a copy of it but changed some things to make it fit better. 

In theory this fits any camera with a Bay 1 Mount lens cap but I haven't tried it on any others

It uses standard 1.75mm filament as the hinge which I've melted a little at the sides to keep it in place. I printed both pieces vertically which did work and got me the detail I wanted for the logo but I'd advise against it as the pull tab at the bottom snapped off at the layer lines almost immediately. I've since made that part thicker to help it stay attached but it's probably just smarter to print in a different orientation. 

I printed the V1 models on my Bambu P1S with PETG and they slide in and snap fit beautifully but YMMV. I don't have an AMS or similar so I painted the text white with a paint pen but in V2 I left the logo as a separate body so you can probably switch colors. I also included a blank model for other brands, although I've yet to test it on a different camera.

I used it for a two week roadtrip coming in and out of my camera cube and went through three rolls of film and the only wear was some fading on the letters which I've since touched up and the tab at the bottom which I mentioned above. 

Thought it might be useful for other people and thanks to Q who I met along the way for inspiring this post and being the final reason I needed to finally post the model for all to use. 

I'm happy to make slight revisions if I got anything wrong in V2 as I haven't actually printed it for myself yet, so please let me know if there's anything I need to change.
