Description
This is supposed to look like a spinning propeller. I used a thin wash of black for the inside. The outside ring is yellow for the yellow on the tip of the blades.
I don't know if this qualifies as a remix, but I made this to go on Bertinchamps F4U Corsair model from Thingiverse. However, I think it will work with any airplane model you find here.
corsair prop original size.stl is scaled to the original split files by Bertinchamps. The picture shows the inner radius of the hole for the propeller hub. You could use this and the measure of your model's propeller hub to figure out the scale to print the propeller. When you scale it, maybe only scale the X and Y axis so the Z doesn't become too thick, especially if you are printing the file with the thin layer between the blades. If that layer gets too thick it won't have ant translucence.
corsair prop open pappy.stl and corsair prop pappy.stl are scaled 287% the size of the original files for my make which includes a pdf for the decals.
The second picture also shows a base I designed for it. I realized that the size of the propeller from the first picture was too small for the scale of the model. The second picture is a properly scaled prop. I used the open propeller because it was so much bigger, so the one with the thin layer covered too much of the model.
