Description
This is a fully 3D-printed “perpetual scratch paper system” It's mounted to the underside of my desk and provides a continuous surface for scribbling and sketching. Whenever I need a clean spot to write, I just reach down and turn the crank. New paper unspools and slides up across the desktop, while the used paper feeds down and wraps neatly onto the take-up roll below. (paper can be run forwards and backwards)
Mechanism in action: https://imgur.com/a/scrolling-desktop-scratch-paper-4DYgpSG
Base plate mounted with 4 recessed screws each, the rest of the assembly slots in via dovetail connections. The mechanism locks in place with four printed thumb screws
Designed to fit 1 inch diameter tubes of kraft paper rolls, but could be adapted to fit other tube diameters, and lengths.
