This combination of garden hose connector from @matej and bottle cap from @3DAcademy can serve many purposes for example:
- pressure reductor - with a large hole in the bottle you can water your plants without any pressure from the hose and you don't even need to hold the hose while watering; it can be useful for sensitive plants that don't tolerate splashing all over them or when you want to leave the hose watering a large plant and do something else in meanwhile
- a water rocket - if you use an o-ring you can accumulate pressure in the bottle and make it fly
- watering spout - just attaching the connector to the bottle you can use it to water plants with a nice laminar flow (a hole in the bottle might be needed)
Â
printing:
- PETG
- 2 perimeters
- infill 15%
- supports enabled (overhang treshold 30°)
additionally you can print the o-ring from an elastic material (not tested)
Â
how to use:
- watering plants with no pressure - make a large hole in one side of the bottle; connect the bottle with the hose; turn on the water flow to fill the bottle; let the water flow from the hole to the soil next to your plant
- water rocket - connect the bottle to the hose; make sure the connection is tight (no air nor water leaking); if it's not try a thicker washer; position the bottle horizontally; turn on the water flow; let the water in the bottle so it squeezes the air; when no more water can enter the bottle it means you've reached the maximum pressure - you can now release the bottle fast; be aware the bottle may fly in a random direction and water will be splashed all around; the result will highly depend on the pressure in your water system
- watering spout - attach the connector to the bottle; fill it with water using garden hose; (option 1) make a hole in the top part of the bottle, so the air can enter the bottle when pouring water out of the bottle; (option 2) squeeze the bottle to pour the water out
- experimenting - take a knife and try to make something with the bottle to find another aplication to the connector; let me know what idea did you came up with :)

It seems that I wasn't the first author of this idea, but @Antimaterie. If you want to check out their model see the link below:
