Photo Backdrop Wall or Ceiling Mount

This will work great for mounting any cardboard tube based photo/video backdrop. Mine is a green velour, but this should work well for paper ones as well.

These knobs on the side were designed to slot into a cardboard tube with a 50mm inner diameter, but if yours is a different size, you can customize it to your needs.

To customize your tube size: 

1. Download and open" Backdrop Mount Parametric.f3d" in Fusion

2. Go click on Modify > Change Parameters

3. Modify the parameter “TubeInnerDiameter” with the inner diameter of your cardboard tube

4. Export and enjoy!

Notes:

• I recommend rounding up rather than down when it comes to your inner diameter, just to make sure it the knobs will be able to rotate it without any slippage from the tube.

• Depending on how heavy your backdrop roll is, you might want to print in something like PETG or ABS. Mine seemed to work fine with PLA, but my green screen is very light.

• I would still recommend wall anchors or studs especially for a ceiling mount.
