Description
I intended to use this wall mount for my project, but I realised that the clearances parallel and lateral are quite small and the hanger allows only 3mm countersunk screws to be used and it generally seems to be too thin and not robust enough for my application. Unfortunately the license options do not allow remixing it, so I took it as template and designed my own version from scratch but actually all credits for the model should go to BasementLAB for their exeptionally well thought model.
My requirements for the wall hook are to hold a 2.5m long and approx. 1m high gate that weighs several kilos on 2 posts and to have tolerances in parallel and lateral direction that are sufficient to allow easy removal and re-attachment of the gate.
My first model provides approx. 4mm clearance lateral and 1mm parallel, but also did not provide sufficient clearance for my application, so I made the version V2 that provides 3mm parallel clearance, the overall wall thickness of both versions is 5mm. Also the holes are prepared to adopt 4mm SPAX countersunk screws without protrusion and thanks to 5mm thick flanges even larger countersunk screws can be used by opening up the holes when printed with 100% infill.
I printed it in PETG CF with 0,2mm layer height and 100% infill, so it should be able to hold quite heavy panels or whatever will be mounted to the wall.
