Engine Air Filter Adapter for fitting K&N 33-2170 in to a JZS171

This is an adapter for using a K&N 33-2170 air filter (made for the GS300) in a JZS171. I was unable to source a washable air filter in the United States for my car, but I found that this offering from K&N had the same mating length and width as the JZS171 filter box- it was only lacking in height.

This adapter fills in that missing height so no debris or dust escapes around the filter into the engine.

Assembly Instructions

1. Print the adapter, remove any debris.
2. Apply the sealing grease to the edges of the inner step of the filter that will mate to the adapter.
3. Apply sealing grease to the edges and face of the front of the filter that faces the engine intake.
4. Insert the air filter assembly into the air filter box, and replace the cover. The springs on the cover and air filter box will press against the adapter to seal the filter against the intake opening, as well as the adapter.
5. Ensure the filter is snug into place without any gaps at the top or bottom.
