Description
I wanted a simple model of the filament door to Prusa Core One, design-wise in direction of the front door.
NB: this is the very first prototype and needs several improvements, see below.
There are several models for filament door available. They frequently create a frame around the plexiglass.
I was thinking outside of the box for a simple solution. The mounting is done by M3x9 mm screw and 19mm double sided permanent mounting tape (from 3M). For the hinge I used 2.5mm aluminium thread. The door uses 4, 6mmx2mm magnets (the prototype uses 2, 8mm ones)
Cut 4mm plexiglas into size 360 x 354 mm (h x w).
Printed the door handle in orange, and the hinges in black.
Fasten the double sided mounting tape on the sides of the backside of the plexiglass.
Then fasten both the door handle and the hinge via the mounting tape. I recommend grinding the surface, so it becomes flat. The 3d print is not flat.
Put paper in the openings at the backside, so the cabinet hinge doesn't get mounted to the door ( see below).
Use the aluminium thread when mounting for better fit. Press both to the side, there should be no space between them and the plexiglass.
Then mount the hinge to the metal cabinet.
Then mount 3mm dust isolation tape on the cabinet, like this is done on the Prusa One on the front door. There is 2.8-3mm gap between the cabinet and the plexiglass, caused by the mounting from the back of the door.

Planned improvements:
I really appreciate feedback, or directly remix. This is a first prototype.
Notes: (a month later):
No problems observed. The double sided tape works well.
Regarding the magnets and isolation tape around the opening. I suggest to mount higher magnets, 3 or 4 mm in height (I' am using 2 magnets on top of each other) as the isolation tape, I used, occupies more space at the door opening. But that is up to your choice of isolation tape (you don't need one, I just wanted to prevent dust inside).
