Utility Knife Blade Container

This container can be used to easily snap off the blade sections of utility knives and safely store them for eventual disposal. The cover features a thin slot to insert the blade, and the 7mm deep channel holds the blade straight as you snap it off. The slot is 30mm wide so it should fit most blades (which are typically 9mm, 18mm, or 25mm).

I don't use up a lot of blades, so I wanted a smaller design than what I could find. I tried to use the best features from other designs: a deep slot to make snapping the blade easy, a screw-top design, a smooth shape with a cover that's flush with the rest of the container, and two different sizes.

When screwing in the cover, the threads can be a bit tight at first; this is by design (so the container won't accidentally open). Just twist the cover back and forth and the threads will loosen. In any case, the idea is to never open it once assembled, since it's meant to be disposed of in the end.
