Description

This is one exposure - glass plate or aluminum plate - 20x24 inch plate holder

  • Print in the orientation it comes in, you will need to do 3 prints, the sides as one, top and bottom as their own on a diagonal -
  • Print slow with at least 5 layers and heavy on the infill - PLA+ works well
  • Tabs on top and bottom help keep this thing on the plate while printing - I also suggest increasing the build plate temp to avoid lifting at the ends
  • Put supports and brim all over the place :)

Please read instructions and feel free to reach out to me for any questions. - Pictures are of the 8x10 but it is the same thing and was easier to take pictures of.

technically 2 dark slides, one is normal, the other with the grip hole is for another dark slide (I just use aluminum sheet) - I went this way because I have seen how people use binder clips and everything else to keep ULF plates from pushing the door backs open so it just slides and no accidental opening happens and works pretty darn good.

I use epoxy to glue the handle and thumb catch onto the plates.

You will need to sand the joints to get a smooth fit. Superglue to assemble everything and then a soldering iron with some extra filament on all connections to make sure that all of the connections are sealed together for light tight. and some 1mm self adhesive felt material to keep things light tight at the top where the slides come in. – once glued together you will want to sand inside the joints to make sure they are smooth.

At the top some 1mm self adhesive felt across where the darkslides go in keeps these light tight.

Large sheets of aluminum or tin cut to size from your local hardware store are the dark slides.
