Description
Achieving thorough back grooming is often a challenge – especially for individuals shaving alone or those with limited mobility. OneReach is a foldable, modular extension arm designed to hold your Philips MG5720 groomer, enabling precise, comfortable grooming in hard-to-reach areas – without assistance.
Engineered for both independent users and those with reduced range of motion, OneReach combines thoughtful ergonomics with functional design. Its lightweight construction uses integrated aluminum tubes (M25) and adjustable joints to provide a stable, customizable shaving reach. A soft yet secure Velcro-based mounting system ensures the groomer stays in place without modifying or damaging the device.
Whether you're grooming solo, managing mobility limitations, or simply seeking a smoother self-care routine – OneReach helps extend your reach with comfort, control, and confidence.
During use, I noticed that the original screw wheel might be difficult to operate for users with limited mobility or grip strength.
To address this, I designed a larger version with increased surface area and easier handling.
Both versions are included in the files – choose the one that best fits your needs
I have provided one version of each part for bolted connection or glued connection. Depending on availability and requirements, one or the other connection option can be implemented.

Lay out all necessary components (screw-tightened version).
To ease assembly, I used a cordless drill to pre-drill pilot holes and to drive in the screws.
Important:
Use low torque settings and go slow to avoid splitting or damaging the printed parts.
Manual tightening for the final turns is recommended.
Insert the M5 bolt and M5 nut into the hexagonal recesses of the two screw wheel parts.
Ensure they sit flush and are properly aligned before use.
Attach the handle and joint to one aluminum pipe (either screwed or glued).
Attach the holder and the second joint to the other aluminum pipe.
Connect both joints at their serrated contact surfaces using the prepared screw wheels.
Thread two Velcro straps through the vertical slots on the holder.
Place the Philips MG5720 into the printed half-shell.
Make sure the step on the trimmer’s handle aligns with the step in the holder.
Tighten the Velcro straps to hold it firmly in place.
The MG5720 can be switched on and off easily via the cut-out in the holder – no need to remove it.
Your OneReach is now fully assembled.
You can adjust the angle by loosening, repositioning, and re-tightening the screw wheels.
