Description

Presenting you with a stable ketchup holder

How to Print

  • Any material you like (PLA, PETG and anything else you are comfortable with)
  • No supports, nothing extra except for the model
  • Infil density is not important, but extra weight from it can help make the model even more stable

The one in the figures is printed in PLA with 0.2 mm layers (including the bottom), 2 walls, 15% infill

Why

  1. Some ketchup/sauce bottles cannot stand upside down, then you struggle to get the leftovers from them
  2. Even when standing upside down, it takes some time to get all of it from the walls
  3. You are supposed to store it in the fridge, where an awkwardly standing bottle is not helping with organisation

What

So, this model is a solution to fix all of the above + the bonus one: you like to slam fridge doors so much, that the ketchup bottle should be as stable as possible, while occupying as little space as possible.

The holder model is made to have a similar footprint to the actual ketchup bottle and stay stable under reasonably heavy hits from the side

Different from other models?

The main difference from most models is the concentration on the stability + minimal extra footprint for both using and storing the sauce/ketchup bottles.

Recommendations

  • The model is not symmetric, and the same goes for its stability. While it can sustain the slammed doors in most cases, regardless of the orientation, it's recommended to put it at 90 degrees to the door's orientation. Refer to this schematic for a visual guide:

What does it fit

Currently, there is a model for the largest EU market bottle of Heinz (875 ml / 1 kg), but more models will be added as soon as I get my hands on those 😉
