Description
Inspired by the atomic models by malyvedec and the University of Prague, this version uses a more direct-to-use approach to the design, making them directly usable off the printer. Instead of magnetic bonds, this models use sticks, allowing for the models to be used in class by teachers without lengthy assembly processes.
Grab some 3mm bamboo BBQ skewers and cut them to be around 3cm long. Those sticks will make the bonds for the model, and with a pressure fit you can assemble and disassemble all types of organic chemistry molecules.
All atoms are provided in their optimal print orientation for maximum ease of use; just add as many copies as you want, print them, pop them out of the print bed and play!
The set includes 4 basic atoms (Carbon in two forms, Hydrogen, Oxygen and Nitrogen), 4 additional atoms (Sulphur, Silicon, Fluorine and Chlorine). If you want to edit them, you can use the provided .f3d file and check the parameter board to change any of the variables used in the design.
