How to

Printing

No special requirements for the printing. No supports

Model in figures printed in Silk PLA, 0.2 mm (including the bottom layer), 15% infill

1. No magnets

• Download files box and lid_3.5mm, print, enjoy

2. Magnets embedded

• Download a box pre-cut for magnets (3x cylindrical 5x5 mm, holes of 5.2x5.3 mm) or a standard box and add custom magnet holes (file box-with-magnets-5.2x5.3mm)
• Download a lid either 3.5 or 4.5 mm thick and cut the corresponding holes for the magnets you have available (don't forget to add a bit of spacing depending on your printer tolerances)
• Use the standard methods to print with magnets embedded - print up to the top of the holes, pause, put magnets in, resume. Nothing special

3. Magnets glued at the end (visible)

• Everything like for 1, cut the holes of the desired size, print, and glue the magnets

If you are going for the magnets

MEASURE YOUR EXACT MAGNETS - don't trust the size from the webshop you bought them from for 50 cents.

The recommended positioning of the magnets (and also positions for the pre-cut holes in the provided model).

The box model can accommodate 3 magnets easily in semi-symmetric orientation. This will allow putting 4 symmetric magnets in the lid and using it in two orientations (normal + upside down).

But you are free to experiment or use the box with no magnets.
