Parametric Magnetic Letters

Model that allows generating letters with spaces for embeding round magnets. Up to 10 magnets can be added to the letter. The magnet size and positions are configurable. The magnet holes are positioned inside the letter so the print needs to be paused in order to insert the magnets.

The model files are made with “Arial Black” size 45 and a thickess of 4 mm. I've uploaded the models for letters with holes for 4x2 magnet inserts and numbers for 6x2 magnets. If you need a different font or magnet sizes let me know and I'll try to add them or you can use the uploaded openscad file to generate letters for any magnet dimension. 

I used the following print settings (models are generated accordingly):

• 0.4 nozzle
• 0.3 layer height
• 2 wall loops
• 2 bottom layers
• 3 top layers
• 10% gyroid infill

I order to insert the magnets I added print pauses just before the magnet holes were closed and used a stack of magnets to slide one in each hole.
