Description
I needed a way to walk around an object when I manually laser scanned it with my Revopoint Metrox 3d scanner and tables were just too large to do the job, so I created this cheap solution.
Parts list:
1. (1) M6x35mm flat head screw
2. A Braun Light Tripod from Harbor Freight ($14.00) (Box pictured below)

Assembly:
Print out the plate and mount it on the tripod with the screw. Apply a generous, but randomly distributed number of reflective tracking markers on the plate. I have the marking kit as well, so he square holes fit the posts that come with the tracking marker kit from Revopoint (turned upside down so the threads are on top), but are not used if you do not have the kit. Though any 12x12mm square post with some tracking markers on it will also work.
