Description
Underware 2.0 uses low-profile 1mm hex screws (among other fasteners). They're kind of fiddly to get started, and they're too short to hold in a regular 11mm socket. So I designed this hand wrench specifically for these screws. It's shallow so it supports the screw head.
Underware 2.0 uses snap connectors, T screws, or these hex screws. The snap connectors are less secure than the screws. With this wrench, the hex screws are easier to work with than the T screws in my experience. (Underware 2.0 includes a smaller wrench for T screws.)
These screws are found on the Underware 2.0 page on Makerworld. Select Customize > Underware_Connectors.scad, then in the customizer select Part > Bolts and Options: Bolts > Small MB Screw. Choose whatever thread length you need. To use screws, you'll also have to print your Underware channels with Mounting Options > Mounting Method: Direct Multiboard Screws.
I've included a .STL file that just has the wrench geometry and a .3MF file that includes a color change and fuzzy skin on the knob.
I modeled this in Fusion 360. I've included the CAD model in .f3d and .STEP formats for easy remixing.
Print it knob down. Any material should do.
If you want the two-material look in the photos, either use the provided .3MF file or apply a color change at z = 7.40mm and use fuzzy skin (point distance 0.3mm, thickness 0.15m) for the knob section. Use a textured build plate. I used a matte PLA for the knob and a silk PLA for the shaft and head, but that's just my weird aesthetic.
