Thank you for downloading my CAD design! I want to assure you that extensive testing and iteration went into creating this design. However, please keep in mind that 3D printing involves a wide range of variables, including different types of filament, printer settings, and calibration levels. These factors can significantly impact the final print.
Before concluding that the design is flawed, I encourage you to:
• Check your printer calibration: Ensure your printer is properly calibrated. Especially filament shrinkage.
• Adjust print settings: Try changing the print settings to achieve better results.
• Resize the model: Scaling the model up or down slightly may resolve fit issues.
Remember, these are development boards and sometimes have very fragile parts. If you encounter any issues or need assistance, please feel free to reach out to me. I am here to help and can provide guidance to achieve the best results. Claiming a design is bad without considering these variables does a disservice to the community and may discourage others from trying a design that could work perfectly with minor adjustments.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Happy printing!
Custom case for the Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32S3 & Wio-SX1262 Kit or the XIAO nRF52840 & Wio-SX1262 Kit. It can also use the Wio GPS board, but the patch antenna that comes with it probably won't fit. This is not as plug and play as most of my designs are. If you want to help with development, please join my Discord and let me know what you think!
I will eventually make a video for this, but for now you'll have to figure it out from the pics or ask in the Discord. I plan to add a switch later as well, but this is what we have for now, print at your own risk! Here are links to the parts that are likely to work:
XIAO nRF52840 & Wio-SX1262 Kit
XIAO L76K GNSS Module The antenna that comes with this probably won't fit
RAK GPS Antenna This is the antenna it was tested with
Other GPS options that will probably work if you know how to wire them:
SMA MakerNova Branded Gizont Antenna
18650 Battery Pack This is what I have, but anything like it should fit, you'll just need a way to wire it to the board. Preferably in a way that can be disconnected.
21700 Battery Pack I expect this will fit, but I haven't had a chance to test it yet, so if you're brave, let me know.
30mm OD O-Ring You should be able to fit this at the base of the threads
