IKEA VIDGA Curtain Rod Connector Upgrade

Upgrade your IKEA VIDGA curtain rod setup with this improved and highly overengineered connector! Designed to be significantly more stable than the original IKEA part, it minimizes wobbling for a cleaner, more secure curtain installation.

This connector features symmetrical M4 boreholes, perfect for an M4x4 set screw (grub screw). The great news is that the included Allen key from your IKEA VIDGA system will fit perfectly for tightening!

There are chamfers for easy insert as well as centered grooves to make some space for the aluminum rod edges. The slots provide some elasticity, while it has an oversize of 0.1mm for a firm fit.

For versatile installation, you can choose to screw in one side for lighter curtain setups and easier assembly, or both sides for a super firm hold that won't budge.

Print settings:

• Material: PLA or PETG will be fine
• Supports: Not required
• Infill: 30% cubic (recommended)
• Perimeters (Wall lines): 2 or 3
• Nozzle: 0.4mm
• Layer height: Optimized for 0.2mm

Photos are showing the first version, I added a second bore to fit a M4 screw afterwards.
