Description

This is a very quick model I had made in Tinkercad in about 5 minutes. It replaced the super worn-down metal handle, which we had for years, and it did a good job of it.

Because I had done this in Tinkercad, the tube isn't a circle, and instead it's a circle-type shape with a lot of sides, meaning it won't get a perfect seal with the tubing. This decreases the airflow, although you probably won't notice it is something to bear in mind. If you would like to remix the model and fix this issue, feel free. You should also be aware that although it can easily handle large amounts of dust and debris, it can't handle a large amount of force (e.g. when you use the handle to dig at mud or rocks). This doesn't affect most users and will only be impactful to people working in places like construction, in which case it is better to either print it in a tougher material than regular PLA (e.g. PLA-CF) or just buy a metal replacement.

I hope this model can fix your issue.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

K1

**Rafts:**

Yes

Supports:

Yes

**Infill:**

25%

Filament: elegoo PLA black

Notes:

Although I printed it in regular PLA, it would work for a lot longer if printed in other materials like PLA-CF, etc.

IMPORTANT: I used an infill of 25% w/ 4 wall loops.

Post-Printing

You should probably sand it as if you print it in the same orientation that I had you would find it can be annoying to hold, especially while cleaning for long periods. If you do sand it, make sure to only sand the bit that makes contact with your hand and NOT the part which makes contact with the other bits of tubing, as this will reduce its grip and you have to reprint. You should also deburr the bit which had the rafts attached, as that is going to make it a lot more comfortable. If you had printed it in the upright orientation, then I'm not sure what you'll have to do post-printing, as I had only had to print it once.

(my orientation)

upright
