Description
Here are six poses of Direwolves and Wolves for DND and other TTRPGs.
For this I started with my usual process of cleaning up artifacts and thickening the model. From there I started posing looking up some different wolf howl/lunge/growl poses. I did a fair amount of sculpting with a 3-4 textured brushes for fur and creased in some fine details. I added oval eyes, teeth and gave this model a manicure (with slight reshaped teeth cubes).
The direwolves are large creatures on a 50mm baseplate (50mm x 25mm wide) and the wolves are medium creatures on a 25mm baseplate.
Something I like to do for my campaigns is to convert lower level monsters to swarms. You can print a few of the regular versions without baseplates and then glue them as a group onto a plate. This helps to continue using them even when the party is a much higher level and the swarm damage resistances effectively double their hit points against regular attacks. These swarms will always have advantage and with the 2025 updates to the monster manual these things knock characters prone on hit - combine that with their movespeed they're very very hard to run from. You could have a multi-attack if you want to make them extra spicy.
I'm on a quest to make 1000 free DND/TTRPG miniatures. See my other models and progress on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/Adamnant
